The 5 for 50-thousand concert is a listener initiative to help raise funds for 2-year old Deane who was featured on Good Morning Angels. She needs a bone marrow donor and transplant. The cost is immense and donors are few. The idea is also to raise awareness for the need for bone marrow donors - get on the registry, even if you can't help Deane, you could possibly save another life. Deane is just one of many thousands of people - young and old - who need to find a match. We want listeners to be part of this, by buying a ticket for R 50 and enjoying the music ... All proceeds will go to Deane's fund - all the people involved - including Menlyn - are doing this for free.
